Jakarta must limit private car use: governor

In an interview with ANTARA News, the governor said the building of monorail, subway and busway systems would not automatically solve the city`s traffic problems unless the use of private cars was limited.

He said Jakarta should have a regulation to limit the use of private cars and make people shift from private cars to public transports.

"If we only rely on a macro-transportation pattern we will not be automatically freed from traffic jams. So there must be a regulation to limit the use of private cars," he said. more ..
