"Yes, I hold his hand, and he opens his eyes to look at me," the sultan said, adding that he was able to meet with Soeharto personally and his family members.
Earlier on Saturday, several guests also visited the ailing former president on the 16th day of his hospitalization, although the doctors advised Soeharto not to receive visitors.
Among the visitors were Haryono Suyono, former head of the national family planning program, former justice minister Ismail Saleh, former minister/state secretary Moerdiono and artist Dorce Gamalama.

Haryono Suyono and his wife were received by Soeharto`s relatives in a guest room located across the room where Soeharto has been receiving intensive medical treatment.
Dorce Gamalama and 200 orphans prayed for the recovery of Soeharto`s health at the lobby of the hospital.
