The idea of "integration" and desire for "separate homeland" among the north eastern tribes with their tribesmen in Myanmar is the last thing India wish to see.

The "people's uprising" in Myanmar has taken world leaders by surprise. Most of the countries that have so far maintained relationship with the military regime lead by senior general Than Shwe had not anticipated that the winds of democracy would blow from the most unexpected quarters – the monastery lead by over 40,000 disgruntled Buddhist monks.
