"Musharraf is on a collision course with Pakistani society," the New York-based Human Rights Watch said in a statement. "There can be no transition to democracy or genuine elections when thousands of General Musharraf's opponents are imprisoned," the news media remain "muzzled" and the human rights situation is rapidly deteriorating.

It'd be great if you could share with us what you are witnessing on the streets and if you have any photos please upload them here

Contrary to what might be appearing in the media (independent news channel are blocked here), life in most of Pakistan is quite peaceful. In my part of town, there is nothing to believe that an emergency has been imposed. The most visible sign of the law is the traffic warden.
Demonstrations do take place in the city centre and a there is a lot that is draconian. However, this is not a daily affair. I thus have no photos to share with you.
