"With (the results of) this summit we have more things to do, have to work hard and, if possible, reduce our sleep," the president said.

During the summit, Indonesia signed various agreements in the context of the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippine East Asia Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) and the ASEAM+3 (Japan, China, South Korea), ASEAN+China, ASEAN+Japan, ASEAN+South Korea and ASEAN+India dialogs.

The 10 ASEAN member countries also adopted an ASEAN Charter and signed documents relating to the formation of an ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the ASEAN Declaration on the 13th Session of the Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 3rd Conference of Parties Serving as the Meeting of the Parties (CMP) to the Kyoto Protocol.
