Questioning the Official Myths of 9/11

    
    The smoke had not yet cleared from the crime scene before Osama bin Laden had been named the perpetrating bogeyman of the 9.11 attacks.  Only days later, US intelligence agencies had identified the muslim hijackers and were pointing fingers at a merciless faction of religious radicals.  Although most of the 19 identified hijackers were Saudi nationals, focus was shifted towards a shadowy enemy protected by the rugged terrain and theocratic law of Afghanistan.  Intelligence seemed to suggest the rogue billionaire bin Laden was taunting US military might in a complex cave based command hideout in the mostly barren mountains of northern Afghanistan.  Prior to the attacks of 9.11, US forces had been strategically positioned on the border of Afghanistan and Tajikistan which allowed for an effective, pre-planned invasion of the middle east.  The Pentagon's strategy paralleled the policy reports published in the 1990's by multiple neoconservative think tanks like the CFR and PNAC.  US forces were conveniently pre-positioned on the Tajik / Afghan border in anticipation of an event that would catalyze the Pentagon's middle east crusade.
    After the attack, troops massed on the Afghan border could now mobilize and begin the invasion, but not after the Taliban was given amnesty.  As MSNBC reported in an article titled "The Airlift of Evil", hundreds of Taliban fighters were escorted out of northern region of Afghanistan and into Pakistan.  Pakistani cargo planes also evacuated Taliban soldiers to the amnesty of Pakistan.  The alleged "enemy" was allowed to go free, while the US forces staged raids and phony operations battling Taliban conscripts.    Under the facade of 9.11 justice, the Pentagon took control of Afghanistan's lucrative drug trade.  Afghanistan had been known for its opium poppy production, producing the majority of the worlds supply of opium which is presumably processed into heroin elsewhere.  Despite the invasion and overthrow of Afghanistan, the country's poppy crops thrive and the drug industry continues to grow.  This is not by mistake or incompetence of the military, but by intention.  The current military presence allows for direct oversight and control of the billion dollar drug trade and opium industry.  The invasion has also allowed for the construction of a trans-Afghanistan pipeline benefitting private oil interests.
     In a December 1997 article BBC reported "Taleban in Texas for talks on gas pipeline", Unocal executives said they were meeting with the Taleban to discuss the construction of an oil pipeline through Afghanistan.  Unocal had contracts to sell gas from Turkmenistan to the Pakistani market.  However, an Argentinian firm claimed to have the contract to construct the pipeline infrastructure across Afghanistan and began building the pipeline.  Unocal continued to operate as if it were building the pipeline, commissioning the University of Nebraska to teach Afghan men technical skills for pipline construction.  Later, 1998 Congressional records show Unocal employees lobbying congress for the same trans-Afghanistan pipeline.  According to the French newspaper Le Monde, and Michael Moore's whitewash Farenheight 911, the current President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai is a former Unocal executive.
    A particularly exposing document was published by the Project for a New American Century.  PNAC is a neoconservative think tank founded by many politicians and political operatives in power today, including Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Dick Cheney, and Scooter Libby.  This faction sought to direct policy to continue US military domination and maintain its position as the sole world superpower.  A policy report published by PNAC in 2000 titled Rebuilding America's Defenses states: "the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor."  PNAC publicly admitted an attack on the homeland wouldl enable their agenda, with the ends justifying the means.  Who has benefitted from the attacks?
    After the invasion and subsequent occupation of Afghanistan, it was clear who benefitted.  The invasion and political reform was not just overblown, but a complete fraud.  Afghanistan offered meager resources relative to i'ts neighboring countries.  A bigger picture was coming in to view - Afghanistan was now a staging ground for the expansion of military operations in the middle east.  The same September 2000 PNAC document Rebuilding America's Defenses identifies the necessity for the military to "fight and win multiple, simultaneous major theatre wars," in order to establish American dominance.   The neoconservative faction was now in power, and just one year later they were blessed with a catalyzing event that forced Congress and the American people to go along with their ambitious plan.
    The modus-operandi commonly used for directing policy is called Hegelian Dialectic.  It is a simple psychological tactic.  George Wilheim Friedrich Hegel proposed synthesis was a result of conflict between a thesis and and antithesis.  It states that a problem will elicit a reaction, which then forces a solution.  The attacks of 9.11 prompted profound reactions that empowerd the neoconservative faction.  Under threats of terrorism,  they advanced their agenda without limits.  It is vividly apparent that elements of government invited an attack on the homeland as a pretext for the unchecked power government holds today.
    Declassified government documents have exposed plans to stage attacks to be blamed on political enemies. One of the most famous admissions of government plans to stage crises is "Operation Northwoods".  Proposed by the Chairman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff Lyman Louis Lemnitzer, the 1962 document called to carry out acts of violence to be blamed on Cuba.  The intention was to create support for US military action as the Pentagon sought war with Cuba.  One of the many shocking proposals included blowing up drone aircraft that would  be falsely reported to be full of college students on a holiday.  ABC News reported in May of 2001 regarding Operation Northwoods, the "US Military Wanted to Provoke War With Cuba".  Although this plan never came to fruition, it highlights the Pentagon's intentions to carry out false-flag attacks to launch a war.  Additionally, it shows they were well aware of the capacity to use hijacked or remotely-piloted commercial airliners to stage high profile false flag terror attacks.
    When looking at government's involvment in the 9.11 attacks, it is important to first note its capacity to prevent such an attack.  Well funded federal agencies have specific guidelines to follow in the event of hijacked aircraft.  NORAD is a federal agency which uses billion dollar radar systems to regulate and identify threatening aircraft.  It acts as a liason between the military and the FAA by dispatching fighter intercepts to track and identify rogue aircraft.  The efficiency of this system was famously illustrated in 1999 when pro golfer Payne Stewart's private jet strayed off course after takeoff.  The jet had slowly lost pressure, leaving all the occupants onboard unconscious from the lack of oxygen.  F-16 jets were dispatched and followed the errant aircraft halway across the country before it's ultimate demise.  In this instance, military jets had been able to intercept a small private jet that had run off course.  On the morning of 9.11, air defense systems disregarded four hijacked commercial jetliners.  Flight 93, the only Boeing that didn't hit its target, was intercepted hours after the attacks had begun.  The state-of-the-art airspace defense system failed four times in what was otherwise a routine procedure for such an event.  Is there a possibility these hijacked planes could have been overlooked?  According to Former NORAD Tac Director Capt. Daniel Davis, there is "No way!" the aircraft would not be intercepted after diverting from course or turning off its transponder.  Davis adds,  "With very bad luck, perhaps one could slip by, but no there's no way all four of them could."
    Complications could be attributed to the war games the Pentagon admits it was running on the morning of 9.11.2001.  By staging drills, otherwise well intentioned individuals would be complicit in criminal mischeif.  In fact, the Commission Report claimed the drills heightened federal response to the attacks.  One war game known as Operation Northern Vigilance simulated US air forces defending against a mock Russian invasion from the northwest.  This diverted air defenses that would normally be used in the situation of intercepting an errant aircraft.  The morning of 9.11, the North East Air Defense Sector, a regional headquarters for NORAD, became the war room for tracking the hijacked aircraft.  But according to a 2006 article in Vanity Fair by Michael Bronner, "For the NEADS crew, 9/11 was not a story of four hijacked airplanes, but one of a heated chase after more than a dozen potential hijackings—some real, some phantom"  Another drill, Operation Vigilant Guardian was simulating hijacked jets as weapons in the north eastern sector and was being overseen by NORAD.  Lt. Col. Dawne Deskins was an officer overseeing the excercise, who at 8:40am took a call from Boston Center reporting a hijacking.  Her response was that "It must be part of the excercise.", indicating there was a discrepancy over whether the hijacked jets were real or part of the excercise drill.  Just weeks before 9.11, Vice President Dick Cheney had been given unprecedented control over the military while running the war the games that morning.  On June 1, 2001, Rumsfeld changed Department of Defense policy regarding aircraft piracy and destruction of derelict aircraft.  Only Cheney and Rumsfeld could authorize the shoot-down of a weaponized jetliner, a power normally held by the Joint Cheifs of Staff.  The Pentagon was struck one hour and twenty minutes after the attacks began.  The structure itself is the center of the largest military force in the world and is presumably well protected.  Andrews Air Force Base, which is just 10 miles away from the Pentagon, was unable to provide protection that morning.
    Key testimony regarding Dick Cheney's conduct the morning of 9.11 was presented to the 9.11 Commission but ultimately omitted from its final report   Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta was summoned to the Presidential command bunker prior to the first attack, and describes a conversation overheard between Cheney and an aide:
    "During the time that the airplane was coming into the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President…the plane is 50 miles out…the plane is 30 miles out….and when it got down to the plane is 10 miles out, the young man also said to the vice president “Do the orders still stand?” And the Vice President turned and whipped his neck around and said “Of course the orders still stand, have you heard anything to the contrary!?”
     This testimony would suggest that despite knowledge of hijacked aircraft, the highest levels of government personally authorized and orchestrated the stand down that allowed the attacks to take place.  In the subsequent investigations into 9.11, both Cheney and Bush were inteviewed together by the 9.11 Commission and refused to testify under oath.  Cheney's possible criminal activities have not been properly investigated.
    The lack of a proper investigation into the criminal acts of 9.11 have provoked outrageous conspiracy theories.  Some sensational yet baseless theories include tactical "mini nukes" in Manhattan, holographic jumbo jets, and space beams (invisible to the naked eye)  taking down the towers.   Shortly after 9.11, other conspiracy theorists had proposed that no plane hit the Pentagon and it was struck by a cruise missile.  Other researchers and theorists suspected an unmanned aerial drone had struck the Pentagon.   Although there are valid questions regarding the cover up of the Pentagon crime scene, countless witnesses claim to have seen the American Airlines jetliner crash into the Pentagon, making this claim easily debunked.  Mainstream news reporting shied away from any real investigation into  9.11, but when it did report on alternative theories, they would focus on the easily defeated "no-plane" theory.  The Pentagon itself released a few frames of pixelated MPEG video depicting a projectile striking the facade of the Pentagon and the subsequent fireball. Despite showing no Boeing jet, this video was claimed to have settled the conspiracy theories about 9.11.  By design, the low quality video raises more questions than it answers, leading to further unfounded speculations.  It has been reported that dozens of security cameras captured the Pentagon strike, but the tapes were confiscated shortly after and have never been released.  These security videos of the Pentagon should potentially debunk the "no-plane" theory.  By witholding this evidence, conspiracy theories will continue to divert attention away from the smoking-gun evidence of foul play in lower Manhattan.
    World Trade Center 7's "Vegas Style" collapse was broadcast live for all to see.  That morning two buildings were hit by aircraft, but three buildings ultimately fell.  All three steel-framed structures fell at free fall speed, conveniently into their own footprints with minimal damage to surrounding structures.  This can be likened to well publicized demolitions of outdated Las Vegas hotels.  Demolition firms are contracted to carefully destroy a casino/hotel structure so that the rubble can be easily removed and their is no damage to surrounding structures.  For a building to collapse at free fall speed, the lower infrastructure must be weakened and removed so that the upper floors do not encounter resistance during the collapse.  According to FEMA and NIST, the heat from fire initiated the collapse of the WTC buildings.  NIST hypothesizes the failure of a main column caused the symmetrical collapse of WTC 7.  The report is not yet complete, but the lead investigator Dr. Shayam Sunder admits in NY magazine that "We've had trouble getting a handle on building No. 7".  This is because it's collapse was an unprecedented event.  Never before had a structural fire caused the collapse of a steel framed highrise.  In fact, there are many cases of skyscrapers buring for much longer than the WTC buildings and remained structurally intact.  On August 14, 2007, Shanghai's World Financial Center caught fire, burned the majority of the structure for over two hours, but experienced no collapse.  In 2004, the Winsor Building in Madrid, Spain burned for days, while the steel frame ultimately remained intact.  These are just two examples of dozens of steel frame structures that caught fire yet experienced no collapse.  Fires do not cause steel frame buildings to collapse, and would certainly not allow a symmetrical collapse at free-fall speed into the structure's footprint.
     The fire-induced collapse scenario caused architects and engineers to criticize the National Institute of Standards and Technology's report on the collapse of WTCs 1 & 2.  Before the WTC's steel was used for construction, its quality was certified for use by Underwriters Laboratories.  Kevin Ryan, a former executive at UL was not satisfied with the NIST report, motivating him to speak out.  According to Ryan, "The buildings should have easily withstood the thermal stress caused by pools of burning jet fuel."  Hydrocarbon fires would not burn hot enough to weaken the steel to the point of collapse.  Jet fuel specifically requires a precise ratio of fuel and air pressure for proper ignition.  Furthermore, most of the jet fuel can be seen buring off in a massive fireball after the jet impacts.  Investigators were kept away from ground zero while the crime scene was hauled away, disabling any proper investigation into it's collapse.
    This has motivated many prominent scholars to do their own investigation into the collapse of the WTC buildings. BYU physicist Dr. Steven Jones began investigating the building collapses on 9.11, noticing that the structural failures of WTC building 7 could not be explained by a fire induced collapse.  After his own personal research, Dr. Jones bet a colleague he could not find two other examples of steel framed buildings collapsings due to fire.  Upon his first impression, Dr. Jones noticed WTC 7's similarity to a controlled demolition - its even collapse at near free-fall speed, and the suspicious molten metal underneath the pile of rubble at ground zero.  Several photographs taken by FEMA of ground zero show steel beams continuing to glow red hot while debris was being moved from the site. First responders confirm the existence of molten metal, with some firefighters describing a "foundry" under the pile of debris.  Aerial thermal images taken weeks after the collapses confirm the presence o inexplicable hot pools of molten metal under WTC buildings 1, 2 & 7.  Basic thermodynamics would not allow the open hydrocarbon fires at the WTCs to structurally compromise the steet infrastructure of the buildings.
    Dr. Jones sought to explain the presence of molten metal under WTC 1, 2 & 7.  Dust was taken from the debris in lower Manhattan to be analyzed.  Foreign metallic spheres were found in the dust that were not composed of WTC steel.  They where identified as iron rich spheres which also had traces of sulfer, aluminum, and potassium permanganate.  Arson investigators routinely look for these substances, as they are the end product of a thermite reaction.  The presense of potassium and manganese is a characteristic of the patented Thermate, an incendiary used to slice through steel girders.  Dr. Jones proclaims "Everything just fits like a glove with thermite."  The highly unlikely "Vegas Style" collapse of WTC 7 and the presence of the metallic spheres in the dust cloud lead Dr. Jones to believe the 48 story high-rise was destroyed in a carefully preplanned controlled demolition that utilized incendiary cutter charges.
    The media networks covering the attack as well as the police at the scene were notified of the imminent collapse of WTC 7 despite the fact that it had not been struck by an aircraft or aircraft debris.  In an embarrassing exposure of media scripting, the CNNs live broadcast on 9.11 reported building 7 had collapsed 20 minutes prior to its actual documented destruction.  During the live broadcast, a confused CNN anchorman says  building 7  "has collapsed, or is collapsing" while looking at a live shot of WTC 7 remaining upright.  The CNN anchor was apparently familiar with the 47 story lower Manhattan highrise as he stared at their live shot and was confused why his colleagues had already reported its destruction.  This mistake exposes the media was fed foreknowleldge of its collapse, but the source of the media scripting remains unknown.
    Surprisingly, the decision to destroy WTC 7 was admitted by the building's owner, Larry Silverstein.  In the PBS documentary America Rebuilds, Silverstein brags he personally gave the orders to bring the building down, explaining on camera: "I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, 'We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.' And they made the decision to pull it and we watched the building collapse."
    "Pull it" is an industry term used for a controlled demolition, indicating WTC 7 was intended to collapse.  "Pull it" would not have been used to describe pulling out firefighters and rescue workers because the building had been evacuated hours before.  Fortunately for Silverstein, the destruction of building 7 alone later brought him a $500 million profit after the insurance payout.  The means to demolish building 7 would have taken weeks to be implimented, and could not have been done the afternoon of 9.11.
    WTC 7 had notable tenents effected by it's destruction.  In addition to several major banks, building 7 housed offices for the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Secret Service, the Department of Defense, and the Central Intelligence Agency.  Any sensative records archived in these offices were destroyed with the building.  Despite being advised of its unpractical location, Rudy Giuliani built the New York Office of Emergency Management in building 7.  Its destruction ultimately hindered the organization of the rescue efforts.  This building was ultimately ignored ignored in the Commission Report.
    Coincidentally, the President's younger brother Marvin P. Bush sat on the board of directors for the security company that oversaw the WTC complex, Securacom.  Their security contract with the WTC was set to expire on 9.11.2001.  Backed by a Kuwaiti-American investment firm, Securacom also held security contracts with United Airlines and Dulles International Airport which also experienced security breaches the morning of 9.11.
    Despite it's high profile occupants and its highly improbable collapse, WTC 7 is never mentioned in the 9.11 Commission report.  Today, WTC 7 is the only structure in the WTC complex that has been rebuilt,  but the Commission Report treats it like it never existed.  The 9.11 Commission Report has serious ommissions that changed the story of 9.11.  Some testimony is suspected to be outright fabrications.  As the Washington Post reported in August of 2006, several members of the 9.11 Commission believed the Pentagon was deliberately misleading the commission regarding its conduct the morning of the attacks.  In a secret meeting of the Commission staff, members debated referring the matter to the Justice Department for possible criminal investigations   
    Other credible government employees have spoken out about the failures of the final report..  As a translator for the FBI, Sibel Edmonds was exposed to sensitive information regarding counterterrorism and counterintelligence.  Edmonds was a witness for the 9.11 Commission, but still criticized the final report for its blatant shortcomings.  Edmonds found the final report to be "Seriously flawed in its failure to address serious intelligence issues that I am aware of, which have been confirmed, and which as a witness to the commission, I made you aware of.  Thus, I must assume that other serious issues that I am not aware of were in the same manner omitted from your report.  These omissions cast doubt on the validity of your report and therfeore on its conclusions and recommendations."  In an interview in the London Guardian, Edmonds elucidates the extent of her knowledge, stating her "translations of the 9.11 intercepts included [terrorist] money laundering detailing date-specific information... if they were to do real investigations, we would see several significant high-level criminal prosecutions in this country... and believe me, they will do everything to cover this up."
    It is overwhelmingly clear the Commission failed in its final report.  Key testimony and intelligence was deliberately omitted with the intention to direct the official story.    To this day, the official story has yet to be questioned.  A proper investigation would expose an inconvenient truth that could rewrite history, and expose the lies that let the Pentagon enable their crusade for oil.  A forensic investigation would shed light on fould play the morning of 9.11, and most importantly, who actually benefitted from the attacks.  To believe the official story we must ignore the scholars, engineers, politicians and military personnel who question it's accuracy and intentions.  Based on the wealth of historical precedent for false-flag attacks, it cannot be denied that governments can and do terrorize their own populations as a means to advance an unpopular agenda.  In the name of fighting terror, there has been a continuing erosion of civil liberties.  The bogus threat of terrorism spurred radical "anti-terror" legislation, hearding the masses into the comfort of mindless groupthink.  It is absolutely essential to investigate 9/11, as it has profoundly directed US foreign policy.  Criminal elites orchestrated the attacks of 9.11 to justify their diabolical plans.  Finding those who are criminally responsible for 9.11 ends both the wars abroad and the war on civil liberties at home.  Exposing the truth will prevent criminal governments from using more false-flag terror to kill it's own people.
