Amidst the uncertain situation in Myanmar, the Indonesian embassy had a meeting with at least 60 Indonesian nationals employed at various business companies and the United Nations office, discussing the deteriorating political and security situation in the country.

In view of the current uncertain situation in Myanmar, the embassy defense attache at the meeting briefed the Indonesians what they have to do if the situation has become out of control.

There are at least 250 Indonesian nationals in Myanmar, including the 50 Indonesian embassy staff members, and the rest are employed at the WHO office, businesspeople, seamen, crew members of Lion Air, oil sector workers, and others.
