S`pore denies Lee Kuan Yew against extradition treaty with RI

"The obstacle we have noticed is that Lee Kuan Yew appears to be unwilling to implement the extradition treaty because it is related to Singapore`s services-driven economy. If the treaty is implemented the fairly large amount of Indonesian money invested in Singapore will become a problem," he said.

The embassy described Juwono`s statement as "groundless and misleading" and said, "When Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had agreed with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to conclude the ET and DCA as a single package in October 2005, this was a collective decision of the Singapore Cabinet."
