Is "Save Darfur" a PR plot to get US military intervention in Africa?

There are legitimate reasons to suspect that the campaign to "Save Darfur" is simply a PR plot to engage the US in another conflict on foreign soil.  Why no intervention in the Congo?  What's so special about Darfur? Wellll...
