SBY - Ban Ki-moon

The UN chief made the positive assessment when he met with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on the sidelines of the international conference of parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNCCC) here on Thursday.

Presidential Spokesman for International Relations Dino Patti Djalal said during the cordial meeting, Ban Ki-moon also praised Indonesia`s progressive steps and achievements in the political reconciliation process in Aceh after the signing of the Aceh peace accord.

Ban Ki-moon said he would like to know in detail how Aceh had developed after the conclusion of the peace accord. Therefore, the UN secretary general would be Yudhoyono`s guest during his stay in Indonesia.

Yudhoyono would give a special presentation on development in Aceh to the UN secretary general on December 15, 2007.
