"There has been no political pressure by the DPR. It is the KPK itself which has taken the stand (to stop the investigation)," he said after giving a general lecture to freshmen at the Sultan Agung Islamic University here Friday.Agung said so far the case was based merely on suspicions so that the KPK had difficulty following it up and later abandoned its investigation.
If there was no sufficient evidence the KPK had better stop the investigation because it could lead to a tendentious thing, he said.
"It is fully up to the KPK (whether or not to stop the investigation). The DPR itself has left the matter to its Ethics Council for a follow-up," he said.
