TNI`s peace missions becoming more complex - mily chief

"Therefore, the TNI should be ready and professional in facing many kinds of peace missions," he said on Tuesday when receiving the Garuda Contingent XXXIII A which had just completed its mission in Lebanon at the Army`s Strategic Command (Kostrad).
He said the TNI had enjoyed the trust of the United Nations to carry out peace missions for a long time.
And to increase the TNI`s professionalism, TNI had established a peace mission center (PMPP) led by Brig. Gen. Zahari Siregar.
With the center, he said, TNI would be more focused on preparing itself to assume future peace missions.
"Those assigned at the center will also be effective as they are especially in charge of sending peace mission forces," he added.
