Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resigned to the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine of sixth convocation. Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor
Yanukovych claimed this at the first session of the newly elected
Verkhovna Rada.With article 115 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the
Cabinet of Ministers, which resigned to the new parliament, continues
to fulfill its duties until the new government is formed.
Sixth
parliament has started work by opening its inaugural session and oldest
deputy in the parliamentary hall, Ivan Herasymov of the Communist
Party, declared the inaugural session open.

The chairwoman of the working group on preparation for the inaugural
session, Raisa Bohatyriova of the Party of the Regions, declared the
fifth parliament closed.She also announced that the Central Electoral
Commission (CEC) has registered all the 450 deputies elected to the new
parliament.According to her, all the 450 deputies have signed the
parliamentary oath and thus taken office.

Parliamentary rules says , a new parliament must convene its inaugural session not later than 30 days after official announcement of election of at least 300 parliamentary deputies.
