Vietnamese, Indonesian foreign ministries hold talks

The two sides agreed to promote the implementation of high-level agreements, especially those reached during the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung's visit to Indonesia in August 2007.

According to VNA, both sides reached consensus on an action program to implement the 2003 joint declaration on Vietnam-Indonesia comprehensive and friendly cooperation for the 21 st century and on coordinating a channel for ministerial strategic consultation.

The two sides discussed ways to promote bilateral ties in agriculture, oil and gas, and tourism.

Negotiations on delimiting the special economic zones and joint coordination in settling fishermen's issues was also discussed, along with international and regional issues of mutual concern.
