This is a photo of a park on the river side of the dike that protects Fargo from the Red River of the North (currently what you see here is under water, with the flooding we're having). The posts mark a couple of drives into specific areas of the park, in a nice swirling pattern. My son was sledding on the city side of the dike, while I was standing on top. The temperature was -10 F., but we had beautiful sunny skies, sundogs, and a brilliant sunset. (Sundogs are sort of like rainbows on either side of the sun, as its light is refracted through ice crystals in the air. They're beautiful.)
