Over the past weekend the graduating class of Miami Dade College's Kendall Campus recieved the President of the United States at the commencement, but the arrival had mixed reaction.
Students inside roared-out with applauds for Bush, but outside a crowd infront of the school thrusted signs in the air in protesting against the Executive Office.
The President gave a speech on how MDC is a school of democracy with students graduating from 68 different countries. That even the president of MDC Eduardo Padron spoke English as a second language. Not without mentioning that many people thought english was his second, too; ingnitiing laughter through out the crowd.
The signs outside held high with hopes for impeechment, refering to the President, Vice-President and Secretary of State, and large oversized-costumes in their resemblence.
Protestors couldn't stop the enthusiasm of the students, some didn't even notice the near 300 protestor that the Public Safety Officer had estimated in attendance.
This was a much smaller number than projected.
All-in-all no arrest were made and the student are moving on in their repected fields.
