President Hosni Mubarak

President Mubarak has exercised strong control over the country, extending Emergency Law for more than 25 years. This earlier photo of Mubarak, is shown throughout egypt on billboards and light post, as if he is advertising himself, or letting the people know that he is ALWAYS watching(the country has been under a state of emergency since ex-president Sadat's assassination in 1981). Under that "state of emergency", the government has the right to imprison individuals for any period of time, and for virtually no reason, thus keeping them in prisons without trials for any period.
