MANILA, Philippines - In acknowlegdement of their member's environmental initiative, Clean Up the Philippines will hold its 2007 Clean Up the Philippines campaign recognition day on December 17, 2007 at the Event Lounge of The Podium Shopping Mall in Mandaluyong City.

The event will recognize the contributions of its members in cleaning up, fixing up and conserving our environment.  His Excellency Tony Hely, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines and Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Joselito Atienza were invited to grace the said occasion.

Clean Up the Philippines campaign is being held in conjuction with the Clean Up the World global campaign.  Supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Clean Up the World mobilizes more than 35 million volunteers in over 120 countries each year, making it one of the most successful community-based environmental campaigns in the world.
