"Having identified that there are numerous schools damaged by the quake, we will focus our effort to revitalize these buildings. Some of them have been destroyed or severely damaged and student activities have therefore come to a halt," said Risa Bhinekawati, Executive Director of Danamon Peduli Foundation. The rebuilding of educational infrastructure is a form of caring of Danamon Peduli Foundation towards the country's education future. "We hope that through this assistance, children in the affected areas can resume their daily school activities," she continued.

"We decided to build three temporary schools in Lunang Silaut, Pesisir Selatan District, which is 6 hours drive from Padang, to ensure that children will go back to school after the schooling processes have been temporarily terminated. In anticipating the upcoming rainy season, it is very crucial that kids will have a place to study, not to leave them studying outdoor," continues Risa.
