German Trade Fair increases German involvement in India

With an economic growth rate of over eight percent, India is one of the three fastest growing national economies in the world, besides Russia and China. Chancellor Angela Merkel's visit to India is a signal to German companies to further expand cooperation in the Indian market. In 2006, the HANOVER FAIR presented the partner country India as a trendsetting trade partner for Germany. The trade volume is expected to double from ten to 20 billion Euros in the next five years.
