jordan, excellent stuff. I like the video reporting aspect, certainly making Now Public in the forefron in news reporting, how unfortunate mainstream media do not cover some stories of significance, but that is their loss and Citizen journalisms gain. I agree just the old cut and paste of news items with CJ dialogue should improve. In ending it is nice to faces to names.
On a more humourous vein, I have always been a big fan of 1970's era KUNG FU style Movies and videos where the actors lips are not in sync with the voices. I think this style is making a comeback!! :0)
Me, too. Sometimes shooting with lo-fi equipment brings up some unexpectedly fun results. The funny thing is, it would take me ages to recreate that effect in precisely the same way.
[A fine example of the genre is the Shaw Brothers classic Mad Monkey Kung-Fu]
Let us not forget Kung Fu Shakespeare and my all time drive in movie favourite Chinese Hercules, I can almost smell the buttered popcorn and car exhaust fumes.
This is a great idea. It not only provides some guidance for contributors and viewers but it also puts faces on the people behind NowPublic. I like the idea of anecdotal commentary on particular items with information about their significance. I would also like to see more stories about behind-the-scene situations faced by the NowPublic crew. Good work all. I will look forward to the weekly report.
Thanks, ppeggy! After editing this last one, though, don't be surprised to find me reporting with some sort of sack over my head... maybe I'll treat the weekly vidcast as an opportunity for shaving.
