Until today, texts have traditionally been measured by word-counts, character counts, lines, inches or centimeters. These units are standard at magazines, newspapers and websites, but for podcasts or video productions they are pretty much useless.
Converting text lengths into reading lengths has been a matter of estimation until now. TextTime solves the problem by determining the reading length of any text as it is being composed. Writers and editors can tell in a flash how long their texts will take to be read for broadcast. There are five standard reader settings. TextTime makes it possible for editors to write texts which can be immediately processed for cross-media platforms.
