UNTV 37, Daniel Razon win Best Website, People's Choice at 10th Philippine Web Awards

Manila, Philippines -- (November 23, 2007) UNTV Network Web site, untvweb.com, was named Best Website and People's Choice in the media category by the Philippine Web Awards. Even one of its veteran broadcasters also received citations in the celebrities and personalities category.

UNTVweb.com bested last year's winner of Best Web site, GMA 7's gmanews.tv, and MTV Philippines' mtvphils.com in the media category.

Good Morning Kuya host, Daniel Razon's celebrity online presence, danielrazon.com, was named Best Website and People’s Choice, and pulled out chances for another GMA 7 entry, the Manny Pacquiao Blaze of Glory mini site in the celebrities and personalities category.

"It was a good year for UNTV 37, with all these, we thank God. To God be the glory!" said Jay Sonza, UNTV station manager, when asked by reporters over the weekend during the post-award party at Teatrino Bar and Restaurant in Greenhills, San Juan.

Mr. Sonza accepted the awards for UNTVweb.com while Good Morning Kuya Executive Producer Fred Cabanilla received danielrazon.com's Best Web site and People's Choice awards trophies.

UNTVweb.com and danielrazon.com finally made it this year as Best Web site in their respective categories, after only placing finalists and the People's Choice in the previous year's web awards race.

Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) was honored its 6th Most Popular Web site of the Year, the highest honor. It received its first such award in 2002.

In its category, the web site, angdatingdaan.org, was People's Choice Awardee, while its sister Web site, Kaanib.net, a community and portal, also received the People's Choice Award.

UNTVweb.com houses the online counterpart of its network programming and services such as news and public service information.

The Web site introduced a news blog style that captures the most-pressing and intelligent alternative coverage locally and internationally.
