A historic downtown church is turned into a crime scene, the target of a burglary just hours after Christmas! But these burglars had no idea what they were getting themselves into.

Police say a couple of young men will have a lot to talk about their next confessional. They are behind bars right now thanks to a priest who foiled their plans.

Investigators say the two teenagers broke into St. John's church through a window around 1:30 Tuesday morning. That's when Father Noah Casey walked in and saw the two young men.

Marion County Sheriff Department Captain Doug Scheffel says what happened next is something you might not expect from a priest.
