Primary Sources: Think Tank Reports

publicreader

As everybody knows, think tanks abound in the world and on the Web. I am always interested in what's new in the think tank/Non-governmental organization, and government report world. A lot of primary news and breaking news lurks in these documents, and many of the most significant reports don't get the airplay of others. And some media coverage of important organizational statements leaves out the most important parts. I have found a great source for keeping up with these kinds of reports. It is a resource service that posts links to them for free, and it is called Docuticker, at www.docuticker.com.

I have no interest in or affiliation with docuticker, but for those white paper hounds out there, this site is worth a look. It is also extremely useful if you are looking for support/refutation for backgrounders on or expansion of mainstream media quotes from stories that you might want to confirm, qualify , or refute. For example, the featured link at the moment takes you to the Feb 5th hot off the press FY 2008 Budget of the United States, and the links are broken down into more convenient subsections

Hey Public Reader,

Docuticker is great. I have corresponded with the editor, she thinks what we're doing is interesting. I check it every day.
