Public screenings of World Cup 2006 under threat after violent disturbances on Saturday 10th June. England played their first game, but the disturbances lead to the closure of giant screen's at London's Canary Wharf. The next game to be shown would have been on Thursday, 15th June.

The screens at Canary Wharf (shown here) and Liverpool will remain closed for the duration of the World Cup 2006.
