Yu can order a Domino's pizza in the UK via SMS, without speaking to anyone,; though a human must carry out the delivery.. until Domino's comes up with a fleet of hovering deliverbots.

If you needed another hint as to how much more reliant people are on SMS in other countries, Domino's Pizza by TXT feature should do the trick. All you have to do is just set up a "favorite meals" list and text the correct "meal" label to Domino's, and they'll bring one to your flat in no time. We say flat, because this is only available in the UK.
It's actually a pretty good idea, and I bet would cut down on prank orders if the delivery address can only be linked to one phone number ... not bad for a country whose hot and cold water come from different taps! I wonder how long it'll be before the system becomes cost-effective/scalable for smaller restaurants.

(I don't work for Domino's, nor can I bring myself to eat mass-market pizza-- I'm a self-confessed pizza snob)

I think my housemate tried this the other day. I must ask him how he got along with it.
