Queensboro bridge meets death boulevard

NEW YORK CITY, April 8th - It seems one of the most dangerous boulevards in the nation is now met with a companion: the Queens borough bridge. The bike path on the Queens borough bridge or the 59th street bridge which runs directly into Queens Boulevard is in the minds of some bicyclists quite dangerous on some occasions. Tonight while riding home around 9pm I was shocked to see 60 percent of the bridge in complete darkness. It doesn't take someone with a degree in metaphysics to see that this negligence is not only unacceptable but extremely dangerous. With bicyclists, joggers and pedestrians all making their way across the bridge it's easy to see the recipe for disaster before calamity strikes. This is something that must be addressed by the city for the safety of all new yorkers before it reaches a bitter end.
