Racism and Those Who View the Games

I wonder if, when “the powers that be” chose to force sports into
the public eye as the great diversion, if they calculated that these
games and what surrounds them would become a clear lens through which
Western society can be viewed?

Probably not. However, in reaction to this fact, the powers dumbed
down the entire U.S. education system and instead concentrated on
building a comprehensive list of buzzwords and talking points and, in
the tradition of Franz Mesmer and Edward Bernays, hypnotized an
audience begging for captivation; marketed that which captivated the
masses as the only method by which they could achieve “the American
Dream.”
