Rain didn't stop Colts from winning Super Bowl
The opening kick-off of the Indianapolis Colts versus Chicago Bears led to a touchdown by the Bears. Having woken up by that immediate score, the Colts steadily passed the field yards winning the first quarter. The Colts kept that steady pace eventually gaining the championship. As Colts cornerback Kelvin Hayden said on the NFl network channel, they played patiently. Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy became the first black coach to win a Super Bowl and Colts quarterback Peyton Manning won Most Valuable Player. The score: 29-17.
Most locals stayed home because of the rain but The Rock Miami, a church on 107th Ave. and SW 48 St., had their doors open for fans of both teams.
