Queensland authorities have issued a consumer alert after a food tampering incident involving cereal bought from a Gold Coast supermarket.

Police were notified by a woman who found a foreign green substance in a box
of cereal purchased from an Aldi store at Southport Park. This is the store I shop at (oh no!)

Initial investigations suggest it is an isolated case and that the
contamination occurred post-production and at the point of sale. The green substance looks like rat poison pellets.

Anyone who has bought cereal from the Aldi store in the past 48 hours is urged
to check the contents and packaging and contact Crimestoppers if there
is anything suspicious.

Police are testing the substance and investigating.

I was wondering when I would see your stuff again and here it is.  Can you please watch for future developments?

Here in North America we're getting kicked by storms, so be kind and don't let me know about your latest day at the beach!

A green substance, looks like rat poison pellets, and this is all they can initially tell you? What is the update? "Post-production and at the point of sale" and you shop there! It's been a week, has the mystery been solved? Your weather must be lovely, are those police getting to this? Will you complete this? I hope the woman did it, not the sales clerk. Please stay safe. lol
