RP
- Ronald Bergeron, a real estate tycoon who have developed most of the
former Everglades in Southwest Broward County, was bitten by an
American Alligator.

Bergeron was bitten on the hand while he was
wrestling with one of fiercest inhabitants of Everglades. Bergeron said
that he jumped on the alligator since he had wrestled many alligators
in the past.

This happened when he saw the 7 feet long
alligator sitting by the lake when he was giving some guests an
all-terrain vehicle tour in Hendry County last Sunday. The guests were
the group who donated 10, 000 for the weekend for the Boys and Girls
Club.

Bergeron stated that wrestling an alligator was part of
his Florida cracker culture. He would always tell people that he would
wrestle an alligator if they would donate more money.

However,
on Monday, the stunt did not turn out well. Bergeron said that the
alligator was rolling and was unable to control his mouth. That is why
the alligator's mouth grabbed his hand.

Bergeron was rushed
to Cleveland Clinic in Weston right after he was driven to the shore.
The alligator, on the other hand, was freed on the lake. Bergeron's
ring finger was broken, his pinky was shattered and he had many
puncture wounds on his hand.
