Every visit to London turns up new reasons to love that city. Here are a baker's dozen favorites.

1. The South Bank: It's alive with culture. The government-subsidized National Theatre, with its superb plays and reasonable ticket prices, is located here. So are the National Film Theatre, London Aquarium and London IMAX Cinema. You can ride the London Eye, and cross the Millennium Bridge (first called the "Wobbly Bridge" by locals until it got structural reinforcement). Farther down Waterloo Road, Kevin Spacey has renovated the Old Vic Theatre, where he will star in Eugene O'Neill's Moon for the Misbego
