By JESSICA SAVAGE The Lufkin Daily News Troopers said speed was a factor in a fatal Friday night car crash in San Augustine County that killed a recent Lufkin High School graduate and her weekend guest. Amanda J. Proctor, 19, and Frankie LaPorte, 30, of Jacksonville, Fla., died at the scene of the accident in Broaddus after Proctor lost control of the Chevrolet Corvette she was driving while traveling north on state Highway 147 about 10:30 p.m. Friday.
