They brought back more than souvenirs and a tan...
When Nicola Allen unpacked from a week's break to the village of Ovacik, Turkey, she was shocked to discover a lizard had hitched a ride in her luggage.

The creature, which is believed to be a Turkish gecko, ran across her bedroom floor, giving her partner, Steve Hall, a big surprise.

Nicola (37) said: "I had started to unpack and had popped out, leaving Steve at home. He bent down to pick up what he thought was a piece of fluff – and it shot across the bedroom floor.

"When I returned, he said I had brought something back with me and it was in the kitchen. I daren't go and look, I thought it was a spider."

When Nicola ventured into the kitchen, she was surprised to find the little lizard.
