Several days ago, a document demanding border control to shoot everyone trying to illegally leave the GDR. Even children and women are no exception, according to the resurfaced document. Now the political discussion about the accounting for the past of the GDR recommences.

After a document resurfaced last week detailing the former East Germany's policy of shoot-to-kill at the Berlin Wall, politicians from all sides have joined ranks to call for a criminal investigation into the practice.
