Thayeb said he also touched on the possibility for the ship`s 18-man crew to still attend the tall ship parade to be held in Sydney on the occasion of the APEC summit. The KRI Samudara was to have taken part in the event along with six Australian tall ships, namely the "James Craig" (Australian Heritage Fleet), "One and All" (South Australia), "Bounty" (New South Wales), "Replika HM Bark Endeavour" (ANMM), "Young Endeavour" (Australian Navy), and "Windward Bound" (Tasmania).

"I did bring it up," Thayeb said.
