President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will have bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the United States, Chile, Mexico, Australia, Papua New Guinea, China, and South Korea on the sidelines of the APEC forum in Sydney on September 8 and 9.
The planned meetings with the seven APEC economic member countries was disclosed by Indonesian Foreign Minister Nur Hassan Wirajuda to the press at the lobby of the Four Seasons hotel in Sydney where he and some Indonesian delegates were staying, on Wednesday night.
Wirajuda did not elaborate on the issues to be taken up by President Yudhoyono with his counterparts, but he hinted that the talks with US President Bush would be on climate change issues and with Australian Prime Minister John Howard on reforestation cooperation.
