"The team is planning to have a meeting with Chinese quarantine officials to discuss problems relating to food and non-food commodity standardization," Mohammad Oemar, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing, said on Tuesday.

The Indonesian team would consist of officials from the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the Food and Drug Supervision Agency (BPOM).

He said the team would also have an important and strategic meaning in efforts to prevent or decrease the refusal of import products from each country which went on hot debate recently.

Indonesia refused to accept several food products from China as they proved to contain formaldehyde.

Meanwhile, the Chinese government later took reciprocal action by banning the import of some Indonesian fishery products.
