Rice Deceives Us with Illusion of 'Statehood'

Ziad Al-Nakhalah, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement RealVideo has asserted that U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is deceiving the Palestinian people with the illusion of a "Palestinian state, and he warned of Washington's true aim, which is to "separate our people into moderates and extremists."

Al-Nakhalah said in a statement issued today, Sunday, January 14, that Rice's visit "is not in the best interests of the Palestinian people, but is an effort to support the Zionists [the Israelis] and defeated President George W. Bush.

He pointed out that rather than offer anything new during her visit, Rice wanted only to obstruct the harmony and reconciliation that has prevailed on the Palestinian street over recent days.

Al-Nakhalah added that the unjust embargo being imposed on the Palestinian people and the statements by Rice to the effect that "the Bush Administration has succeeded in isolating Hamas," only confirm American-Zionist bad intentions.
