‘Right to carry” permit for APS school board candidates?

I thought long and hard before posting this. There will be those who
will say I made it up.
I have been advised three times now, by different people, that because
of what I am writing; I should pursue my right to carry a concealed
weapon.
Well into the third millennium, deep in the heart of one of the most
respected democracies on the planet, a candidate for the school board
needs to pack heat?
This is beyond creepy.
