A campaign against the exclusion of blind people from the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is taking the fight to parliament in December, requesting that the higher rate allowance be extended to serious sight problems sufferers.

The RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind), the UK's leading charity offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight problems, will be calling on local MPs to sign an early day motion in mid November. They will also be holding a parliamentary lobby at the House of Commons on 4 December 2006 regards people with serious sight issues not getting higher rate allowances.
