Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is doubtful for England's autumn Euro 2008 qualifiers after suffering a hairline fracture of his left foot.

Rooney was injured in Sunday's goalless Premier League opener with Reading.

United have put no timescale on the injury but early estimates suggest he faces at least six to eight weeks out.
