Rumor: VP Cheney on DC Madam Call List?

Ever since the DC Madam's phone list hit the web, volunteers, reporters, and inquisitive minds from around the country have been eagerly scouring through the pages to find the next big name. Republicans, Democrats - people from both parties are expected to be found in the list. One source is already claiming that several people have found the biggest name yet - Vice President Dick Cheney.Now we cannot officially confirm this, and at this time it is pure speculation, but what if it were true? It would be one of the final nails in the coffin on Cheney's already tanking credibility and political career.
The site alleges that, at the very least, Cheney and his aides were involved in buying so-called "entertainment" for foreign clients while he was CEO at Halliburton. At the worst, it could be that Cheney himself was utilizing the services of Deborah Jeane Palfrey's alleged prostitution company, Pamela Martin & Associates.
If it is true and it can be proved, expect a whirlwind of White House spin to be headed our way soon...

There is lots of speculation here without much substantiation. Here is what the source of this story says:

was just told Dick Cheney, while CEO of Halliburton, used her services
regularly, they are trying to spin up a message to explain that members
of his staff, in his offices, used this service to entertain foreign
clients.
Apparently several of his ex-staff at Halliburton are already being besieged by calls.
Make of it what you will. I think I would be happier knowing the Dick can dance like a John.

would also like to make this note, as an Executive who has been trained
in how to stay within the law of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
I
was specifically instructed by our corporate lawyers never to pay for
such services of clients, it is always found to be a violation of the
FCPA.
Does this mean, the WH spin, which we will see coming out in the Next 24 hours will be:
Dick Cheney did not use an Escort Service...instead he committed violations of the FCPA and ordered others to do so?

I agree, but given what happened with Clinton, (not my fav prez) and Ms. Plame, I have no problem reporting on rumours about this administration. Perhaps it's the secret republican in me.

Oh, I hope this isn't true... I don't want to picture Dick Cheney in anything resembling a "compromising position".
