Ryan is Gone, But Alive in my Heart
I was a good friend of Ryan, as he was my RA my first
semester here at Tech. We had a class
last semester together and we sat next to each other everyday and laughed and
talked and gossiped about people we knew and didn't. He was the most beautiful and kind person
that I have ever met, and I will miss him tremendously. My only regret is that I didn't get to see
him one last time and it is my fault. He
kept asking me to go get lunch or dinner with him all this semester, and I kept
putting it off because I was too busy or tired.
And for that I will never forgive myself... And even right now as I
write this, his AOL instant messenger name is still up and active, which breaks
my heart every time I look at it. I
sometimes forget and catch myself going to click on it and type him something,
but then I stop and remember that his life was taken for no reason at all. I love you Stack, and may you be in a better
place...The next time I see you I promise we'll do lunch...RIP

Brant, thanks you for sharing such intimate thougths with us - I realize it must be a difficult time but like you said Ryan is alive in your heart and that is what's important.

What a beautiful testimony. Thanks for sharing this with us-- it's too easy to forget the human side of the news, huh?
