Is the photo above evidence that would suggest the potential existence of a California State sponsored “underground railroad”, facilitating the movement of illegal immigrants northward, on this road east of San Diego, California?

This situation is a real mystery. When almost 70% of the voting citizens want to put up a fence, and implement processes that deter border hopping immigration, why is the State of California subsidizing, underwriting, working against, turning a blind eye to, anything that will facilitate illegal immigrants to migrate across the border, hide and survive just to assimilate into our capitalistic landscape?

Read the whole story below and help me to find out.

This posting is the first in a series of reports triggered by a drive up the San Diego County road, S2 through the California state park - Anza Borrego Desert State Park.  The other links are located here.

Please read, link, and comment.  I believe in being humanitarian, really, but I do wonder why our state and federal governments are not holding the line on our immigration laws and our security.

Why do you suspect that it's state sponsored?  Isn't it more likely that an ordinary citizen put these supplies out?  How did you come across it?

I believe that the State is involved because these aid stations are located on State Park land at mile markers on the southern most 15 miles of the major North/South road through the park.  At the very least, permission has to be granted (this is where ordinary citizens may be involved), or at the most, taxpayer money is being used to maintain these stations.  If these stations were located throughout the park for general use and safety as opposed to being only located at the southern most tip (near the Mexican border), I would be less inquisitive and suspicious of the motive.  Further, it does not help that these blue barrels are labeled with white paint – “AGUA” … not the expected language of the citizens the park was established to serve.

My wife and I decided to drive back to Los Angeles from San Diego after attending a business meeting.  As is our habit when we have the time, we explore by taking “the road less traveled”.  This found us heading East on State Highway 8 to the town of Ocotillo, then North on San Diego County road S2.  After heading North on S2, we saw some border agents setting up a check-station along with the newly assigned National Guard troops just before we entered the park boundary.  Soon thereafter, my wife noticed the first blue barrel labeled “AGUA”.  After seeing a couple of more barrels, we stopped and investigated.  We found that each blue barrel contained up to six one gallon sealed jugs of drinking water from an outfit located about 45 miles away in Borrego Springs.

Hermann Goering was born in Rosenheim, Bavaria, in 1893. His father was a professional soldier who rose to be the first governor of German West Africa (modern-day Namibia, where one of the main streets in the capital is still Goringstrasse). Young Hermann grew up in friends' homes and in military schools while his parents were abroad. (Historians and amateur psycho-analysts have had a field day attributing Goring's adult evil to his childhood without parental love. Of course, Winston Churchill's youth was about the same.)
