Chemical Ali

As U.S. and coalition forces continue to find mass graves in Iraq, the appalling mass murders of civilians  is no longer one of the dirty secrets of executied dictator Sadam Hussein's regime.. Among the defendants in this trial: the notorious "Chemical Ali," already under death sentence for genocide and crimes against humanity.

Fifteen former aides of executed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, including the man known as "Chemical Ali", went on trial Tuesday for crimes against humanity over their alleged role in the crushing of a 1991 Shiite rebellion.

Three of the accused, including Ali Hassan al-Majid, Saddam's cousin who is widely known as Chemical Ali, have already been sentenced to death in a previous trial for genocide and crimes against humanity.
