Visitor numbers at Salcey Forest have soared since the Tree Top Trail opened two years ago.

Entry figures were less than 100,000 a year before the walkway was built but annual visitors have since reached around 250,000, peaking at 38,000 a month in the summer, according to Susan Taylor, the Forestry Commission's Visitor & Community Services Manager, Salcey Forest.

The forest is free to visit, but from July 23 a £2 parking charge will be introduced.
