Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A US-hired underwater salvage team on Tuesday
recovered a black box from a commercial jetliner that crashed in the
waters of eastern Indonesia on New Year's Day, killing all 102 aboard.
The box containing the airplane's cockpit voice recorder was recovered
using submersible robots at a depth of 1,900 metres in the Majene Sea
off the west coast of Sulawesi Island, Indonesian Transport Minister
Tusman Syafei Djamal was quoted by DPA as saying at a press conference.
