Santa's Ghetto: Work, Consume, Die
It's a Banksy Christmas this year in London. Have you heard of Banksy?
His work has appeared on NowPublic before. And now his gallery, Santa's Ghetto, is open as a tribute to the loss of commercialism this holiday season. With the world reverting back to the good times of religion, we may be losing sight of our duty to buy everything we can in December. So, if you are on Oxford street looking for gifts you can grab some cheap art by people who have recognized this trend.
Stores put a lot of thought and time into those little glowing white candles and spray on snow, so do not disappoint. Work, consume, die.
The gallery showcases a wide range of controversial art including a mocked-up photo of Tony Blair taking pictures on his mobile phone of an explosion in a Middle Eastern desert.Visible from the pavement, Downing Street is expected to request that the image, designed to protest against the war in Iraq, be taken down.

At NowPublic, this is high praise from NowPublic editors! Your story is now on the home page for awhile, and everywhere else the “good stuff” box shows up. Many thanks for your great work.
